About Ken Montessori

Welcome To
Ken Montessori

House Of Children and Daycare

'Ken' means knowledge. It is the greatest gift one can give a child. We believe that each child is an individual and is capable in his own way. If given the right environment he would grow into an adult realising his full potential. We cannot transform a child for what he is not but can bring out the best for what he is. Welcome to the world of Ken, welcome to the Montessori way!... All our teachers are IMC trained. We are a Pure Montessori School.

Montessori Method is Classified into Four Main Verticals:

  • Sensorial

The purpose and aim of Sensorial work is for the child to acquire clear, conscious, information and to be able to then make classifications in his environment.

  • Practical Life

Generally the activities of practical life revolve around four areas: Caring for the Self, Caring for the Environment, Grace & Courtesy and Movement.

  • Arithmetic

Arithmetic deals with shape, space, numbers, and their relationships and attributes by the use of numbers and symbols. It is a study of the science of pattern

  • Language

Language is a means of communication. We need a language to express ourselves. We follow phonetics as part of the Montessori method.

Montessori Approach:

Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952), an Italian physician and educator, is the source of the name of the Montessori educational method.

Dr. Maria Montessori created the Montessori methodology after observing how children learn. Today, her instructional approach is used in a large number of public and private institutions all over the world. The Montessori method, a way of educating young children that emphasizes the development of a child's own initiative and natural abilities, notably via practical play, is one of Montessori's many triumphs. This approach improved educator's knowledge of child development while allowing children to grow at their own speed. Activities that involve exploration, order, repetition, abstraction, and communication are used to teach the students.

The Speciality Of Montessori:

Learning through scientifically designed material is a main focus of Montessori. The focus on a child's intellectual, physical, moral, social and emotional growth at Montessori schools help children develop into independent thinkers who have a passion for learning for the rest of their lives.
